MetLife Investment Management, which is the institutional asset management business of MetLife, has appointed Kerry O’Brien as global head of insurance asset management and liability solutions.
O’Brien will lead a team taking an active role in managing MetLife’s $414.1 billion general account as well as assets for third-party insurance clients.
Prior to this, O’Brien worked at MIM from Insight Investments, where she led a team managing assets for clients across life, property and casualty and health insurance companies, risk pools and captive insurers. Previously, she held several senior investment positions at AIG.
As of September 30, 2024, the firm had $609.3 billion in total assets under management.
Procyon
Procyon Partners a member of the Dynasty Network of wealth advisory firms, has appointed Rich Franchella as senior vice president of business development – a newly-formed post.
Based in the firm’s office in Fulton, Maryland, Franchella will focus on recruiting firms and advisors in private wealth, institutional consulting, employee benefits, tax, risk management, and other sectors. Franchella reports to chief revenue officer Harry Kirkpatrick.
Procyon has $7 billion in AuM and more than 50 employees in Manhattan; Shelton, Connecticut; Melville, New York; Fulton, Maryland; and Virginia Beach, Virginia.
